10:23a - Viggo Mortensen
PORTRAIT OF A LADY 1996 movie so bad it's practically unwatchable. Ugh!!! Viggo's in it very little, plus it's all very very dark (I didn't see many scenes shot in actual light). Still, I had to try my luck with a few screen caps. ( CLICK )

10:47a - Hugh Jackman
Don't think I ever done a Hugh Jackman post before. He is lovely though, isn't he. Must be ... I sat and watched Oklahoma because of him, and there are few forms of entertainment I loathe more than musicals. Anyway, here he is, looking young and scrumptious in 1998: ( Halifax, f.p.: Afraid of the Dark ) Perhaps it's because of Mr. Jackman's popularity, but this is the only Halifax episode available on DVD in the US. Unfortunately, the American entertainment industry, in it's never-ending quest for sensationalism, has re-named it "Portrait of a Serial Killer". Pish! They couldn't have missed the point more had they called it Goldilocks and the Three Bears! It's about how people deal with grief and loss; the killer, hastily unmasked towards the end of the movie, comes across as almost incidental to the story. Too bad, throwing a bit more light on his motivation would have been very interesting, even relevant to the theme. Oh well. Can't have everything. Back to perving over Hugh ( HERE )

10:50a - Gerry Butler
A few caps from ATTILA ... the movie itself is totally unwatchable so I just clicked on some scenes and grabbed what I could before I died laughing at the totally Europaean-looking, scottish(?)-sounding 'huns'. ( CLICK )

10:53a - James Nesbitt
Not everybody's cup of tea: You may have noticed him in movies like Bloody Sunday, Lucky Break or Waking Ned, in TV shows like Murphy's Law, as Assumpta's cuckolded husband in Ballykissangel, or seen another TV wife (played by ex-Mrs. Sean Bean, Melanie Hill) mess around on him with his own brother in Playing the Field, or him actually (sort of) getting the girl in Cold Feet. He may not be conventionally 'beautiful' but I sure wouldn't mind a bit of a tumble with this ( very handsome Irishman ) Caps from the 2003 Murphy's Law episode, Kiss and Tell
|
10:57a - Ray Stevenson
From RETURN OF THE NATIVE, that mildly annoying 1994 adaptation of the Thomas Hardy novel (with a cast that promises so much more than it delivers). Oh well, there's always the eye candy value :) ( A FEW PRELIMINARY CAPS )
